Salesforce Sets Sights on $63 Billion Long-Term Sales Goal Amid AI Competition Concerns
Salesforce recently provided its long-term sales outlook at an annual conference, exceeding analyst estimates and aiming to alleviate concerns about competition from AI products. The company's chief operating officer and chief financial officer, Robin Washington, said that Salesforce's sales are expected to reach $63 billion by January 2030.
This forecast includes revenue from the acquisition of Informatica, which was completed in November last year. According to aggregated data, the average analyst estimate for this figure was $61.4 billion.
The company is under pressure to prove its ability to thrive in the era of evolving AI products. To ease investor concerns about direct competition, Salesforce heavily promoted its partnership with Anthropic PBC at the conference.
Citi analyst Tyler Radke noted that conversations with customers and partners were 'notably more constructive than a year ago,' with greater confidence in Salesforce's AI product strategy and execution.
