Salesforce Shares Soar on Strong Q2 Results and Triple-Digit AI Growth
Salesforce reported strong quarterly performance, exceeding analyst estimates and sending shares up 12.6% in after-hours trading to $231.50.
The company's AI initiatives drove triple-digit growth in annual recurring revenue (ARR), with combined Agentforce and Data 360 ARR reaching nearly $3.9 billion, a year-over-year increase of over 200%. Agentforce ARR specifically grew more than 240% to $1.5 billion.
Salesforce's CEO Marc Benioff described the company as an 'agentic enterprise,' with AI-powered agents handling tasks previously performed by humans. The shift is reflected in a reorganized revenue reporting structure designed to capture the evolving nature of the business.
