Salesforce Stock Skyrockets 40% on Strong Earnings and Raised Guidance
Salesforce's stock price surged by 40% in August, outperforming both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite. The company reported strong earnings for its fiscal Q2, beating analyst estimates with a non-GAAP EPS of $5.90 on sales of $11.35 billion.
The customer relationship management software specialist attributed part of its growth to organic expansion and acquisitions, including Contentful and Fin. Salesforce also raised its full-year revenue guidance to between 11% and 12%, citing a constant-currency basis.
Additionally, the company's quarterly report helped alleviate concerns about being disrupted by AI, as it announced a plugin for Anthropic's Claude and showcased its own AI-powered offerings performing well.
