Salesforce Stock Surges on Strong Q2 Results and Raised Guidance
Salesforce Inc.'s stock price has been boosted by the company's strong Q2 FY27 results, which included an 11% year-over-year increase in revenue to $11.35 billion.
The company reported adjusted earnings per share of $5.90, far exceeding the prior consensus estimate of $3.27. This was largely due to a non-recurring gain on Salesforce's stake in AI startup Anthropic, which added $2.6 billion to the bottom line.
On the back of these results, Salesforce raised its full-year fiscal 2027 adjusted earnings guidance to a range of $16.67 to $16.71, up from a previous corridor of $14.06 to $14.12. The company also lifted its full-year fiscal 2027 revenue outlook to a band between $46.1 billion and $46.4 billion.
Analysts have been reacting positively to the results, with one major research house raising its price target on Salesforce stock from $200 to $304 while maintaining an outperform rating.
