Salesforce Taps Google Cloud for Native Infrastructure
Salesforce and Google Cloud have strengthened their strategic partnership, enabling Salesforce's products to run natively on Google Cloud infrastructure. The deal involves Hyperforce architecture, which will provide access to Google Cloud's data services and Gemini Enterprise for select US customers.
The companies expect general availability in North America by the end of this year and plan a phased regional expansion in 2027. Meir Amiel, Salesforce's president and chief trust and infrastructure officer, said the partnership aims to maintain existing security, compliance, and resilience standards.
On the AI side, Google Cloud is implementing Salesforce's headless architecture, built on the open Model Context Protocol standard. This will enable Gemini Enterprise to tap Salesforce data directly without custom integration for tasks such as pipeline health checks and account summaries.
