Salesforce Unleashes AIforce as a Distributed Intelligence Layer
Salesforce has introduced AIforce, a live interface layer that brings its platform's data, workflows, business logic, and governance to any AI interface. This move is part of Salesforce's repositioning from a destination application into a distributed intelligence layer across the enterprise software market.
AIforce was unveiled at Dreamforce, with Marc Benioff comparing it to major shifts in user interfaces such as DOS-to-GUI, GUI-to-web, and web-to-mobile. The platform is built on a metadata-first architecture that enables headless recomposition of business logic, permissions, security rules, and analytics into any presentation surface.
The three structural moats of AIforce are enterprise expertise, data intelligence via Informatica and Tableau, and trust for agentic workflows. Claudeforce, Slackforce, and Agentforce Coworker are the initial products launched with AIforce. Claudeforce is available in beta to all customers after being piloted by Deloitte, GitLab, and Legora.
