Salesforce Unveils AIforce: A New Era for Enterprise Software

Salesforce has launched AIforce, a live interface layer for enterprise software that aims to transform how knowledge workers access data.

The company hopes AIforce will enable users to create custom and composable applications that leverage Salesforce as the system of record. Patrick Stokes, president of applications and marketing at Salesforce, said user interfaces can create 'tremendous friction,' and AI agents have the potential to cut through complexity.

Ahead of the Dreamforce Conference 2026 in San Francisco, the company announced Claudeforce, an open beta plugin that allows joint Salesforce and Anthropic customers to leverage Salesforce data within Claude. Analysts believe this could signal a new agentic era for enterprise software.
