Salesforce Unveils AIforce Interface Layer Amid AI Landscape Shift
Salesforce has introduced AIforce, a new interface layer designed to connect enterprise data and workflows with AI tools. This move includes strengthened partnerships with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Nvidia, signaling a significant push into the evolving AI landscape.
The AIforce layer aims to bridge the gap between existing enterprise data and rapidly advancing AI tools, addressing concerns that AI might render traditional CRM and SaaS products obsolete. According to CEO Marc Benioff, this is an 'interface revolution,' similar to previous shifts from DOS to GUIs and web to mobile.
The new layer allows users to interact with AI through familiar platforms like Slack and Anthropic Claude, grounding queries in Salesforce data and business logic without needing to switch applications. Users can also update records and trigger workflows directly.
Salesforce is enhancing its collaboration with Nvidia, including the Koa CRM reasoning model built on Nvidia's Nemotron AI, designed to improve agent reasoning in complex workflows with fewer errors. The partnership with AWS will bring more frontier agents to Slack, enhancing capabilities like DevOps, FinOps, and security operations directly within the messaging platform.
