Salesforce Unveils Headless Data 360 for Direct AI Access
Salesforce has released Data 360, a headless version of its existing platform that allows AI agents to directly use customer data. This move follows the company's previous announcement of headless 360 in April, which connected any system to Salesforce APIs through MCP.
Data 360 is designed to provide agents with relevant and controlled customer context by handling tasks such as data building, transformation, mapping, segment creation, and activation. It offers more than 200 existing APIs as programmable endpoints, enabling AI agents like Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, and Salesforce Agentforce to directly call needed Salesforce data and functions without going through a user interface.
The service aims to centralize API access paths, making it easier for teams to handle related work within existing tools and interfaces. Previously, users had to spend days or weeks knowing the required fields, schemas, segments, and tables in advance, as well as moving across multiple tools and teams. Data 360 streamlines this process, allowing users to describe their analysis conditions in natural language.
