Salesforce Unveils Koa: A Specialized CRM Reasoning Model Powered by NVIDIA
Salesforce is expanding its AI capabilities by partnering with NVIDIA to develop Koa, a specialized CRM reasoning model. This move marks a significant step in Salesforce's efforts to integrate AI agents with underlying enterprise data and cloud infrastructure.
Koa is trained on synthetic data modeled after real-world CRM deployments across 14 distinct industries, including manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, and travel. The system uses supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning to navigate complex sequences of actions and select the precise tools needed to complete them.
Internal evaluations indicate that Koa matches or exceeds leading alternative models on CRM actions within Salesforce's proprietary CRM Benchmark, producing three times fewer errors. The model is being deployed internally by Salesforce and has been initiated in early customer pilot programs with organizations including 1-800Accountant, Baxter Credit Union, Engine, Formula 1, UChicago Medicine, and Xero.
Alongside Koa, Salesforce is expanding its Agentforce capabilities across AWS and Google Cloud. The partnership with AWS brings Salesforce data and agents into existing tools, while the expanded Google Cloud partnership delivers robust infrastructure, Gemini Enterprise connectivity, and new commerce capabilities.
