Salesforce Unveils Upgraded Agentforce Platform with AI-Powered Agents
Salesforce has unveiled an upgraded Agentforce platform, which includes specialized artificial intelligence (AI) agents that can execute complex enterprise workflows. The new technology aims to address the shift from chatbots to task-execution systems across core business functions.
The AI agents are built directly into Customer 360 and use existing enterprise data models and workflows to drive operational output. Salesforce has delivered over 7 billion Agentic Work Units across Agentforce and Slack, with 3.2 billion in Q2 alone.
The platform offers pre-built agents dedicated to specific enterprise roles, including customer help, IT and HR employee service, retail assistance, supply chain processing, and more. Hunter, an outbound sales agent for researching pipelines and collaborating with account executives, is currently in pilot testing and will be available by November.
To give organizations control over agent decision-making, Salesforce has launched Agent Script, an open-source scripting language that allows developers to combine generative AI reasoning with deterministic business rules and safety guidelines. The company also introduced Multi-Agent Orchestration, allowing agents across different cloud systems and departments to coordinate as a single team during multi-stage customer interactions.
