Salesforce's Agentforce Platform Sees Explosive Growth Amid Enterprise AI Competition
Salesforce is aggressively pushing its AI platform, Agentforce, to stay ahead in the enterprise AI race. In Q1 of fiscal 2027, Agentforce's annual recurring revenues (ARR) reached $1.2 billion, a 205% year-over-year increase. This growth is part of a larger trend: combined ARR for Agentforce and Data 360 came in at $3.4 billion, more than doubling from the same period last year.
The company's strong performance is also reflected in its AI token processing. In Q1, Salesforce processed 28.6 trillion AI tokens, up 152% sequentially, while Agentic Work Units increased 111% to 3.8 billion. These figures indicate a rising trend of customer engagement with the platform.
Salesforce has an advantage due to its large installed customer base, with over 50% of Agentforce and Data 360 bookings in Q1 coming from existing customers. This gives the company opportunities to increase spending per customer by connecting AI agents with CRM data and business applications.
The broader financial picture remains solid, with Salesforce generating $11.13 billion in Q1 revenues, a 13% year-over-year increase. Current Remaining Performance Obligation (cRPO) increased 14% to $33.6 billion. The company raised the lower end of its fiscal 2027 revenue guidance to $45.9-$46.2 billion from $45.8-$46.2 billion, reflecting confidence in continued demand.
