Salesforce's AI Harness Aims to Give Business Context to Autonomous Agents
Salesforce is introducing the Trusted Enterprise AI Harness, an infrastructure platform designed to give agents business context assembled from across a company's data. This platform aims to address concerns around the return on investment (ROI) of using AI in business operations.
The Trusted Enterprise AI Harness is part of Salesforce's plan to help customers become 'agentic enterprises' where autonomous agents work alongside human employees. The company has been investing in this area since launching Agentforce in 2024.
Salesforce President and Chief Platform and Engineering Officer Rohan Kumar stated that customers have been asking how AI can make their employees and operations more efficient, improve conversions, and deepen customer relationships. However, models are not designed to understand a specific organization's context, which is unique to each business.
The Trusted Enterprise AI Harness addresses this issue by bringing together information from Informatica, Salesforce's Data 360, and Tableau to provide a comprehensive understanding of an organization. It has six components, including decision-making, governance, security, and management.
