Salesforce's AIforce Revolutionizes CRM Interface
Salesforce announced AIforce, its new strategy for exposing CRM data and governed actions through multiple interfaces, during its Day 1 keynote at Dreamforce 2026. The company argues that the traditional Salesforce interface is no longer necessary, as AIforce takes customer data, workflows, permissions, business logic, and governance controls and pushes them out through entry points like Slack, Claude, Amazon Quick, or Google's Gemini Enterprise.
This shift in thinking has been building for months, with CTO Parker Harris saying 'why should I ever log into Salesforce?' six months ago. AIforce gives enterprise workers the ability to access data held within Salesforce from a range of different starting points, rather than logging into the CRM directly.
The company's argument is that people should start with what they're trying to accomplish, not which application they're supposed to open first. The AI interface pulls in relevant Salesforce context, applies business rules and permissions already in place, and either suggests the next action or takes it. This could mean less switching between messaging tools and CRM screens, and customer context showing up closer to where decisions get made.
