Samsung Cashes In on Apple's Folding iPhone Duo

Samsung is set to reap significant benefits from Apple's new folding iPhone Duo. According to reports, Samsung will receive $250 for every iPhone Duo sold, thanks to a contract with Apple to supply display technology.

This news comes after it was revealed that Apple had no choice but to partner with Samsung due to the lack of alternative suppliers for folding phone screens. LG Display is still unable to produce such screens, and BOE's quality and reliability were deemed unsuitable by Apple.

The contract is expected to generate $1.8 billion in revenue for Samsung Display in the first year alone, assuming sales of 7.3 million iPhone Duos at a price of $250 per screen. This represents a significant chunk of the phone's retail price, with the screen accounting for over 10% of it.
