Samsung Ditches OneDrive for Google Photos in Galaxy App

Samsung is ending its partnership with Microsoft's OneDrive in the Galaxy app. Starting September 30, 2026, users will no longer be able to back up photos to OneDrive through the Gallery app.

Instead, Samsung is integrating Google Photos directly into its Gallery app. This change allows users to sync their main camera roll, specific albums, and local device folders like Downloads or Screenshots with Google Photos.

However, there are some caveats to this integration. Edited photos will appear as separate items in the Google Photos app, and Samsung-synced photos may not show up in all Google Photos features like Memories and Live albums.
