Samsung E&A Unveils Integrated LNG Module Package at Gastech 2026
Samsung E&A has made significant strides in expanding its liquefied natural gas plant business. The company recently unveiled an LNG Module Package at Gastech 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand. This package combines Samsung's modular technology with Honeywell Technologies' single mixed refrigerant (AP-SMR) liquefaction technology.
The offering is designed for small- and mid-sized LNG projects and aims to shorten the project timeline by about 20%. By pre-engineering and modularizing key processes, the package provides an integrated solution that can be optimized for specific needs. Samsung E&A plans to use this package to meet growing demand for modularization in LNG plants.
The company has already seen success in the sector, with recent wins including a basic design contract for an eco-friendly LNG plant in Indonesia and a conceptual design contract for an LNG project in North America. According to a Samsung E&A official, 'The core strength of this package is that it combines the process technology of a proven licensor with our own modular execution capabilities, shortening project timelines and reducing uncertainty in execution.'
