Samsung E&A Unveils Modular LNG Package at Gastech 2026

Samsung E&A has made a significant move into the LNG plant market with its unveiling of an 'LNG Module Package' at Gastech 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand. This innovative package combines Honeywell's AP-SMR liquefaction technology with Samsung E&A's modular expertise to provide a pre-engineered solution for small and mid-scale LNG liquefaction plants.

The LNG Module Package is designed to shorten the project timeline by about 20% compared to traditional construction methods. It achieves this by prefabricating major equipment at a factory or in yards before assembling it on-site, minimizing field work and offering advantages in quality assurance and schedule management.

Samsung E&A President Nam-gung Hong and Honeywell Technologies Gas and LNG President Christina Anderson posed for a photo to commemorate the unveiling. The company plans to use this package to expand its LNG business and get ahead of growing demand for modularization, particularly in small and mid-scale LNG liquefaction plants.
