Samsung's Gallery app is now rolling out support for Google Photos sync, replacing the previous Microsoft OneDrive integration. This change allows users to back up their photos and videos directly from Samsung devices.

The update, which was teased earlier this week, requires Android 13 or newer on Samsung devices. However, there are some restrictions on what media can be seen and what features work.

According to Google's support page, images and videos synced from Samsung Gallery won't work with Memories and highlights, Live albums, or Search in Google Photos. Additionally, Samsung Gallery will only show content backed up directly through a Samsung device, not content backed up directly through Google Photos.
