Samsung Gallery Ditches OneDrive for Google Photos Sync
Samsung Gallery has ended its OneDrive integration, effective September 30. This means users can no longer back up photos directly to OneDrive from within the app.
This change is not a loss for everyone, as Samsung Gallery now offers direct syncing with Google Photos. Users can enable this feature by opening the Samsung Gallery app, tapping Menu > Settings, and selecting Sync photos and videos. From there, they can choose their Google account to use for backing up photos and videos.
This change allows users who prefer Samsung Gallery but already use Google Photos for cloud storage to enjoy a seamless backup experience. However, it's worth noting that photos backed up through Samsung Gallery Cloud Sync will not appear in Google Photos Memories, Highlights, Live Albums, or Search.
