Samsung Electronics has invested $500 million in Helix Digital Infrastructure, a company backed by Nvidia and other major investors. This investment is part of a combined $1 billion commitment from six Samsung affiliates to support the development of AI infrastructure.

Helix was launched in June with over $10 billion in committed capital from founding investors, including KKR, the Kuwait Investment Authority, Nvidia, and Vistra. The company aims to provide the physical infrastructure needed for hyperscalers to operate large-scale AI deployments.

Samsung's investment is significant because its affiliates operate across multiple layers of the infrastructure stack that Helix targets. This includes advanced technology, construction, data center operations, energy storage, and cooling.
