Samsung Removes SwiftKey as Option on Newer Devices

Samsung has finally allowed users to remove Microsoft's SwiftKey keyboard app from their Galaxy devices. The change is part of the One UI 9 update, which also removes SwiftKey as a pre-installed app on newer Samsung devices.

This marks a shift in Samsung's software strategy, with older devices running One UI 8.5 previously unable to completely uninstall the app due to a long-term partnership between Samsung and Microsoft.

Users can now fully remove SwiftKey from their Galaxy S26 devices running One UI 9.0 Beta 5, reclaiming about 55MB of internal storage in the process.
