Samsung's Budget Phone Trio Spotted on Google Play Console
Samsung's budget phone lineup is getting a refresh in the coming months. Three new phones have appeared on the Google Play Console supported devices list: Galaxy A08, M08, and F08.
The listing reveals their internal codenames and model numbers. The Galaxy A08 has the internal codename 'a08' and model number SM-A085F, confirming it's an LTE variant without 5G connectivity. However, Samsung might still launch a dedicated 5G version later.
The Galaxy M08 and F08 share the same 'a08' codename as the A08 and have model numbers SM-M085F and SM-E085F respectively. This isn't surprising, given that the M and F series models are essentially sister devices with a few tweaks.
The expected hardware for these phones includes a 6.7-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a larger 6,000mAh battery, and 25W fast charging. They may also feature a dual-camera setup led by a 50MP primary sensor and use a budget MediaTek chipset.
The software side is where things get interesting. Internal test server findings suggest that these phones could launch with Android 17-based One UI 9 out of the box instead of the older One UI 8.5.
