The San Diego Unified School District is making a change to how students and staff sign in to their Chromebooks. Starting on Tuesday, October 13th after 2 PM, users will see a Microsoft sign-in screen instead of the usual Google login page.

This change is part of the district's effort to move its applications to Microsoft Single Sign-On (SSO). To sign in, students and staff will need to enter their district email address and follow the prompts using their current password. For students, this means using the format [email protected].

Those who are already signed in may not notice any changes, as Chromebooks remember the last user's account and can continue to use the same password. However, new users or those signing in on a different device will see the Microsoft sign-in screen.

The district has provided a video preview of the new sign-in process for reference. More information and examples of how to sign in using SSO can be found on the district's SSO information page.
