SAS AI Navigator Tackles AI Governance with Free Six-Month Trial

SAS has launched AI Navigator, a new SaaS solution for AI governance now available on Microsoft Marketplace. The tool helps organizations track and manage all AI models, agents, and LLMs in one place, linking them to regulations and internal policies. Customers can use AI Navigator for free for six months.

Many companies struggle to monitor their AI applications, but AI Navigator provides a comprehensive inventory of AI assets, including open-source models, SAS models, and third-party tools. It allows teams to govern AI use cases, like customer service chatbots, without disrupting their workflows.

The tool follows AI assets throughout their lifecycle, from experimentation to phase-out, ensuring compliance with corporate policies. SAS offers pre-built policy packs from partners Protiviti and Asenion, simplifying governance for organizations.

SAS highlights findings from its 2026 Data and AI Impact Report, which shows that companies effectively managing AI trust are 15 times more likely to achieve strong returns. Early adopters like Erasmus MC have tested AI Navigator, finding it valuable for documenting and governing AI in healthcare.
