Saudi Arabia Celebrates 96th National Day

Saudi Arabia is celebrating its 96th National Day on September 23rd. The occasion marks the unification of the Kingdom under King Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud and the adoption of the name Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1932.

Google has been marking the event with special Doodles over the years, featuring traditional Saudi clothing and historic stamps. This year's celebrations are taking place across the country, with international schools hosting cultural activities, music, and dance performances.

In Riyadh, landmarks were illuminated in green, while streets and public spaces were decorated with flags and lights. The city also hosted a National Day run, which drew over 6,000 participants.
