Saudia Leases Four Boeing Freighters Through DAE Deal
Saudia Airlines has signed an agreement with Dubai-based aircraft leasing company DAE to acquire four Boeing 777F freighters. The planes are expected to arrive between October 2026 and May 2027, supporting Saudia's growing cargo operations.
The deal is a purchase-leaseback arrangement, where DAE will buy the aircraft and lease them to Saudia on a long-term basis. This allows Saudia to access new freighters without taking ownership of them directly.
DAE's CEO Firoz Tarapore said, 'This transaction reflects our continued commitment to supporting our airline customers with high-quality, in-demand aircraft.'
The Boeing 777F is a long-range, widebody freighter designed for large cargo loads. DAE reports that it offers strong payload capability, operational efficiency, and reliability.
