Severe Vibration Causes Ceiling Panels to Collapse on Sepehran Boeing 737
A Boeing 737 aircraft operated by Sepehran Airlines experienced a harrowing mechanical failure on September 15, forcing an emergency return to Mashhad, Iran. The incident occurred just after takeoff from Mashhad Hashemi Nejad International Airport bound for Kermanshah International Airport.
An engine problem caused the landing gear tire to burst, leading to severe vibrations that shook the plane violently. As a result, sections of the overhead compartments and ceiling panels detached and fell onto passengers below, exposing the aircraft's internal structure.
Dramatic video footage captured from inside the cabin shows the chaos as passengers screamed and prayed while belongings fell from bins. Despite the mayhem, the pilots successfully landed the plane, and all 127 passengers were evacuated safely without reported injuries.
