Shanghai Disneyland's Spider-Man Coaster Enters Push-Pull Testing Phase

Push-pull testing has begun on Shanghai Disneyland's new Spider-Man roller coaster, according to Walt Disney Imagineering. The process involves slowly pulling a ride vehicle along the completed track at a rate of about one centimeter per second.

Crew members are performing measurements to ensure there is enough space between the car and other elements. Three large clearance envelopes attached to the vehicle represent guests, as the vehicle doesn't stay perfectly upright throughout the ride.

The coaster's track was completed this summer, with testing beginning last week. Disney shared a behind-the-scenes look at the process in a recent video.
