Shell Powers Up Amazon's Electric Truck Fleet in Germany
Shell has partnered with Amazon to provide charging solutions for electric trucks operating in Germany. The collaboration will make Shell's high-power truck charging hubs available to Amazon's transportation partners, supporting fleet electrification across key logistics corridors.
The sites in Hannover, Kirchheim, and soon Koblenz are equipped with liquid-cooled high-power chargers capable of delivering up to 400 kW. This is designed to meet the operational requirements of heavy-duty electric trucks.
Shell's 'Home-away-from-Home' system will allow fleet operators to reserve charging slots in advance, improving route planning and supporting vehicle uptime. Access and payment will be managed through the Shell Card, providing a single platform for charging transactions.
