Shelley Seeks Palm Coast City Council Seat with Local Roots

Darlene Shelley is one of four candidates running for the Palm Coast City Council's District 4 seat. The non-partisan race features Dylana Galery, John Kvederis, and Ramon Marrero as other contenders. Shelley has been a resident of Palm Coast since 2012, having moved there with her family to be closer to her parents.

In the interview, Shelley discussed how she prepared herself for the council position by attending city council meetings and county commission meetings. She noticed changes in zoning laws that affected areas like Old Kings Road, where Hidden Lakes is located. This led her to get involved in local politics and research the issues affecting Palm Coast.

Schelly is a 25-year veteran of Home Depot, working both in New Jersey and Florida in various roles. She has been Republican for most of her life but this is a non-partisan race.
