Sheriff's Deputies Fatally Shoot Suspect with Large Kitchen Knife in Claremont

A fatal shooting occurred at a gas station in Claremont, California on Monday morning.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies were carrying out a court-ordered eviction nearby when they received a report of a theft happening at the Chevron gas station next door.

As deputies approached to investigate, the suspect ran out of the store and charged them with a large kitchen knife.

The deputies opened fire, fatally striking the suspect in his 30s or 40s.
