Sherwin-Williams Beats Expectations with Strong Q2 Results

Sherwin-Williams has reported strong second-quarter financial results, driven by higher sales and improved profitability across all three of its operating segments. The company's net sales for the quarter ended June 30th, 2026, increased 7.5% to $6.79 billion compared with the same period last year.

Diluted earnings per share rose 14.3% to $3.43, while adjusted diluted earnings per share increased 9.5% to $3.70. The company's Performance Coatings Group recorded higher sales across all businesses, including automotive refinish coatings and packaging, industrial wood, and coil coatings.

Sherwin-Williams generated $1.49 billion in operating cash flow during the first half of the year and returned $2.23 billion to shareholders through dividends and share repurchases. The company increased its full-year guidance, expecting net sales to increase by a mid- to high-single-digit percentage and adjusted diluted earnings per share to range between $11.80 and $12.20.
