Sherwin-Williams Boosts Coatings Supply with Statesville Expansion
Sherwin-Williams has expanded its manufacturing facility in Statesville, North Carolina, increasing production capacity and improving logistics. The upgraded site, which opened recently, is now the company's largest plant in North America. The expansion adds nearly 50,000 square feet of improvements, allowing for greater flexibility in responding to changing customer requirements.
The facility features expanded manufacturing space, enhanced automation, and four new rail spurs. This increased capacity should improve regional product availability and reduce logistics bottlenecks. Sherwin-Williams' ability to serve customers across North America has been strengthened by the expansion, supporting longer-term growth in architectural paints and coatings.
The company's Chair, President, and Chief Executive Officer, Heidi Petz, highlighted the importance of the Statesville workforce and the region's efforts to attract and retain advanced manufacturing investment. Local and state officials attended a ceremonial ribbon-cutting at the facility.
