Sherwin-Williams Expands North Carolina Paint Facility to Largest Plant in North America

Sherwin-Williams has expanded its North Carolina paint facility in Statesville, making it the company's largest plant in North America. The expansion added nearly 50,000 square feet of improvements, including production space, automation enhancements, and rail infrastructure. According to Heidi Petz, Chair, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sherwin-Williams, 'With expanded production space, new rail infrastructure and greater automation, this facility gives us more flexibility and efficiency in how we manufacture and move products across our global supply network.'

The project was supported by approved incentives from the state of North Carolina, Iredell County, and the City of Statesville through a public-private partnership. The location was chosen for its access to transportation infrastructure, skilled workforce, and strategic position within the company's manufacturing and distribution network.
