Sherwin-Williams Expands Store Network Amid Gradual Market Recovery
Sherwin-Williams is expanding its store network and investing in technology to drive growth, even as it expects the recovery of its end markets to be gradual and uneven.
The company plans to open 80 to 100 net new stores annually as it works toward a 6,000-location milestone. According to Justin Binns, president of Global Architectural, there are about 12,000 specialty paint distribution points in the U.S. and Canada, with more than 7,000 that do not currently sell Sherwin-Williams products.
Sherwin-Williams generated about $23.6 billion in sales last year and expects to exceed $25 billion in 2026, at the midpoint of its most recent guidance. The company operates in over 120 countries and employs more than 64,000 people.
