Sherwin-Williams has named Celery, a yellow-leaning green shade, as its 2027 Color of the Year. According to Sherwin-Williams' Color Marketing Manager Ashley Banbury, Celery is adaptable and can be paired with various materials such as warm woods, creamy neutrals, or saturated hues without feeling loud. The color is already being used in interior design projects, including a kitchen renovation in Olympian Lizzie Armanto's Los Angeles home.

Banbury recommends using Celery in kitchens, breakfast nooks, sunrooms, and bedrooms for its softening effect. She also suggests pairing it with warm colors such as Woven Wicker or aged brass to bring out the yellow undertones of Celery. The color can be used as an accent or applied to larger surfaces like walls and ceilings.

Banbury provides several examples of how to incorporate Celery into a design, including using it in a bathroom vanity, on a door, or inside a pantry. The color can also be paired with natural materials such as linen, woven materials, stone, and handmade tile to add depth without competing with the softness of the shade.
