Sherwin-Williams Unveils Expanded Statesville Plant
Sherwin-Williams has officially opened its expanded architectural paint and coatings manufacturing facility in Statesville, North Carolina. This new site is now the company's largest plant in North America.
The expansion adds nearly 50,000 square feet of improvements to the existing site, including expanded production space, automation enhancements, four new rail spurs, and related infrastructure.
Sherwin-Williams has operated at this location since 1993. According to Heidi Petz, Chair, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sherwin-Williams, 'With expanded production space, new rail infrastructure and greater automation, this facility gives us more flexibility and efficiency in how we manufacture and move products across our global supply network.'
The expanded facility is intended to support a nearby distribution service center that connects production, transportation, and distribution to the company's broader operations.
