Sherwin-Williams Unveils New Swedish Research Centre for Wood Coatings
Sherwin-Williams has opened a new research and development centre in Arlandastad, Sweden. The 4,000 square metre facility is dedicated to the company's Industrial Wood Division and features more than 20 laboratory rooms, modern collaboration spaces, and a conference area with a capacity of up to 150 people.
The centre is designed to accommodate up to 60 engineers, scientists, and technical specialists. It will enable closer cooperation between R&D, technical service, product management, and customers to accelerate innovation across the portfolio.
Sustainability was a key consideration in the design of the building. The facility incorporates high-performance insulation, extensive heat recovery systems, and is powered by renewable energy sources.
