Shopify Stock Soars as Meta Partnership Enables AI-Driven Purchases
Shopify's stock surged as much as 8.9% on Wednesday after it announced a partnership with Meta to enable its Muse AI agent to complete purchases on behalf of users.
The move comes after Amazon blocked the AI agent from operating on its e-commerce platform, citing Amazon's Conditions of Use.
Shopify CEO Tobi Lütke said in a post on X that the company is 'excited' to partner with Meta and offer an easy way for users to shop and check out with Muse.
