Sieg Secures First Career Victory in Daytona Win
Ryan Sieg has achieved his first career victory in the Winn-Dixie 250 Powered by Coca-Cola at Daytona International Speedway. The win marked a milestone for his family-owned team, RSS Racing.
Sieg overcame early setbacks during the race, navigating through traffic and avoiding a major wreck on the superspeedway. He acknowledged the mental and physical demands of competing over a long career, saying 'It's tough sometimes, it's a bummer a lot of the times and you never think it's ever going to go your way, and you just got to be strong and just try to chase your dreams, and that's what I've been doing.'
The victory was a result of Sieg's perseverance in pursuing his goals with his family-run program. He had considered searching for drives with larger organizations but remained committed to his team.
Despite earning the win at Daytona, Sieg did not make the cut for the playoffs, ending his season. The top 12 finishers from the series will advance and continue in their postseason.
