Siemens and Procter & Gamble Unveil AI-Powered Quality Inspection Solution

Siemens and Procter & Gamble have developed an Industrial AI solution called the Visual Inspection Cockpit (VIC), which enables real-time quality inspection in high-speed consumer goods manufacturing.

The VIC uses deep learning models from P&G combined with Siemens' Industrial Edge computing platform, industrial PCs powered by Nvidia GPUs and AI hardware and software.

This collaboration allows for adaptable inspection performance across various products, even when materials or production environments change.

Rainer Brehm, COO for automation and CTO at Siemens Digital Industries, stated that the solution delivers 'full inspection accuracy for thousands of products per minute.'
