Singapore Airlines Expands 737 MAX Operations Across Asia and Australia
Singapore Airlines is expanding its Boeing 737 MAX operations across Asia and Australia for winter 2026/27. The airline currently operates 26 of these aircraft, with three more expected to join the fleet by the end of the year. Once all deliveries are completed, Singapore Airlines will have a total of 29 MAX jets.
The 737-8 MAX is set to serve 28 destinations from Singapore Changi Airport during the winter season. This includes cities such as Kathmandu, Bali, Cairns, Manila, and Ho Chi Minh City. The aircraft will operate on routes with flight times ranging from around 1 hour and 10 minutes to approximately 6 hours and 50 minutes.
Singapore Airlines' growing MAX fleet will allow the airline to significantly increase the number of flights operated each week during the winter period. At its busiest point, the aircraft is expected to operate up to 714 passenger flights per week, accounting for more than a quarter of the airline's total weekly passenger operations.
