Site Kit Plugin Automates Checkout Tracking for WordPress Sites
Google's Site Kit plugin for WordPress now automatically tracks checkout and form lead events from eight supported plugins, sending them to Google Analytics as goals. This feature, called Site Goals, was announced on LinkedIn by Google Search Central and is available in the latest version of Site Kit (1.187.0).
According to Google, Site Goals detects key visitor actions such as completed orders and form submissions without requiring manual tagging or code. The plugin supports WooCommerce, WPForms, Contact Form 7, and other plugins that track conversions.
The reports only appear if a site is connected to Google Analytics and has at least one supported plugin active. The Site Goals widget shows the number of visitors who converted and which traffic channels brought them in. It also displays a primary conversion rate, expressed as a percentage of total sessions.
