Sitharaman Meets JPMorgan's Dimon Amid Strong Earnings Growth

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met with Jamie Dimon, Chairman and CEO of JPMorgan Chase & Co., in Mumbai during the bank's India Investor Conference. The meeting was part of a series of high-level engagements aimed at discussing economic perspectives.

The Finance Minister addressed the gathering and participated in a fireside chat with Mr Sajjid Chinoy, Head of Asia Economics at JPMorgan.

Dimon had scheduled meetings with top executives from India's major conglomerates during his Mumbai visit. The engagement followed an improved corporate earnings trajectory observed across domestic equity markets, with earnings growth for MSCI India estimated to reach 11 per cent in CY26 and 13 per cent in CY27.
