Six Ravens Takes Flight at Disney Springs: A New Concept from Gideon's Bakehouse
Disney Springs is set to welcome its newest eatery, Six Ravens, from Gideon's Bakehouse. The soft opening takes place on August 3 at 10 a.m., and it promises to offer something different from the usual menu. Instead of cookies, Six Ravens will feature hand-pie-like sandwiches called coffyns, housemade yeast rolls with fillings that focus on supporting local restaurants.
The concept is centered around paying it forward, as per Gideon's founder Steve Lewis. The shop will highlight collaborations with various local eateries, including Red Panda Noodle, Pizza Bruno, and Papi's Burritos. Beer from Ravenous Pig Brewing Co., Sideward Brewing Co., and Crooked Can will also be featured.
While the focus is on savory items, Gideon's Bakehouse is not forgetting about dessert. The Six Ravens menu includes a chocolate chip tart filled with rich chocolate fudge and topped with freshly made raspberry jam, titled 'The Tart's Tempest'. This is just the beginning, as Lewis plans to introduce more desserts in collaborations with local bakeries.
