Smith Takes Helm at Disney's Direct-to-Consumer Division
Disney Entertainment has named Adam Smith as its new Chairman of Direct-to-Consumer. In this role, he will oversee Disney's global entertainment streaming business, including Disney+ and Hulu, driving strategy, development, and innovation across platforms.
Smith joined the company in 2024 and has been instrumental in transforming Disney's direct-to-consumer business. He previously held executive roles at Google and YouTube, where he played a key part in the growth of both companies.
Joe Earley will assume the newly created role of President, Disney Entertainment Television Franchise and Content Strategy. In this position, he will lead the strategic development of Disney's television franchises, maximizing their value and creating new opportunities to engage audiences.
