Snap Partners with Nvidia on AR Glasses Amid Enterprise Push
Snap Inc., the technology company behind Snapchat, has partnered with Nvidia on its Specs AR glasses. The partnership aims to help businesses benefit from the agentic platforms provided by Snap's Specs and other related services. Snap's CEO Evan Spiegel said that the company's Specs AR glasses are better suited for tasks such as helping field technicians troubleshoot equipment issues by overlaying digital instructions and enabling interaction with workers.
The partnership is part of Snap's efforts to enter the enterprise market, where competition in the wearables category is growing. As part of this effort, Snap plans to launch Specs Intelligence, a consumer-focused AI service that acts as a digital assistant capable of performing tasks across its AR glasses and other devices.
Despite facing challenges in a competitive landscape dominated by larger social media platforms, analysts are cautiously optimistic about Snap's potential growth. The company has reported solid second-quarter results, with 19% year-over-year revenue growth to $1.6 billion and a 34% decline in operating loss. Wall Street analysts expect Snap to report a $0.02 loss per share this year, followed by 550% growth to an EPS of $0.09 next year.
