South Jersey residents and visitors will have the chance to try some unconventional foods this weekend at South Jersey GreenFest, an event taking place on September 19-20 at the Edelman Fossil Park and Museum in Sewell. 'Bug Chef' Zack Lemann will be serving up bug-based dishes that are sure to raise eyebrows.

The menu includes cricket cookies, which are essentially chocolate chip cookies with roasted crickets instead of chips. The crickets add a nutty crunch, according to the source. There's also Crispy Cajun Crickets, which are roasted and seasoned with Louisiana spices.

For those feeling adventurous, there's Red Beans and 'Yikes,' a New Orleans-inspired dish where the rice gets replaced with a poached caterpillar. And for the truly brave, fried dragonflies will be served on sautéed mushrooms with Dijon-soy butter.
