Southern Living's 2026 Idea House Showcases Contemporary Hill Country Living in Fredericksburg, Texas

A 4,000-square-foot farmhouse in Fredericksburg, Texas is now open for public tours. The Southern Living's 2026 Idea House showcases contemporary Hill Country living with a focus on warmth and relaxation.

The home was designed by Jean Liu, Marcus Mohon, and Paloma Contreras to reflect the region's unique style. Each designer brought their own perspective while taking cues from the local landscape.

The 2026 Idea House features products from eleven sponsors, including ADT, James Hardie, Sherwin-Williams, and Volvo Cars. A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit Operation Finally Home, Hunt Preservation Society, and Gillespie County Historical Society/Pioneer & Vereins Kirche Museums.
